The Lambchop Rasboras is a great beginner fish and does well in community fish tanks with their peaceful nature. Lambchop Rasboras make an absolutely captivating addition to any aquarium.  Their bodies are mostly a bright red or orange color, but they are named for the black or dark purple mark on their sides that resembles a lambchop in its shape.  The combination of these bold colors really makes these fish stand out from all others, especially when they are paired with dark-colored substrate.  Males tend to be more colorful ,their lambchop markings are usually more pointed in appearance1  The females are often rounder in shape, and their lambchop markings are more rounded as well.  Their diminutive size makes these fish great for nano tanks!1
